Br. Xavier De La Huerta, OFMBr. Xavier De La Huerta, OFM

Br. Xavier was born in Brownville, Texas but moved at an early age to Maryland. He entered religious life in 1962 and took his first vows in 1965 and solemn vows as a friar in 1969. He has been a member of the Inn community since 1982. Prior to his arrival in Philadelphia he had served for several years on the staff of a retreat house in Rye Beach, NH.

Fr. Michael Duffy, OFMFr. Michael Duffy, OFM

Fr. Michael grew up in Ashland, New Hampshire. He has been part of the Inn community since 1987. After college he served as a volunteer for a few years in Jamaica. It was then that he decided to enter religious life as a Franciscan. He took his first vows in 1966 and his solemn vows in 1970.

Br. John Gill, OFMBr. John Gill, OFM

Br. John is a Rhode Island native. After college he worked for six years as a social worker in Washington, D.C. He entered religious life as a Franciscan in 1993. He took his solemn vows in 1999. After formation and theology studies, he came to the Inn in June of 2000.

Sr. Mary Augustini, OSFSr. Mary Augustini, OSF

Sr. Mary grew up in Olean, New York. She entered the Allegany Franciscans after high school, and taught school for 16 years. She worked for six years at the Dwelling Place in New York City, a women's shelter. After that experience she came to this community in 1987.

Sr. Leslie Burks, OSFSr. Leslie Burks, OSF

Sr. Leslie is from Trenton, New Jersey and she is a Sister of St. Francis of Philadelphia. She was an elementary and high school teacher for 22 years. In 1985, after teaching for many years, she decided to work full time with the poor. She worked at St. Francis House in Boston for a few years. In 1990 she arrived in Philadelphia and joined this community as a team member.

Barbara SalapekBarbara Salapek

Barbara is a native of Warren, PA. She worked for many years in the business world before she gave it up. She first came to Philadelphia as a Franciscan Volunteer in 1990. After her second year as a volunteer she joined the permanent community as a team member.

Judy StacheckiJudy Stachecki

Judy grew up in Delaware, and is the mother of two sons. After her retirement she decided to join our community. She has been a permanent member of the Inn community since the spring of 2004.

Karen PushawKaren Pushaw

Karen is a Philadelphia native who has been part of the community since 1993. She is on a leave of absence for a couple of years to pursue theology studies in Washington, D.C.

Sr. Xavier Kozubal, CSFNSr. Xavier Kozubal, CSFN

Sr. Xavier who grew up in Philadelphia is a member of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. She has served as the director of the Women's center since 1992.
